How our calculators work

Every tool runs entirely in your browser using clear, documented formulas — the same take-off math a contractor uses. We show the breakdown, not just a single number, so you can check the result and understand where it comes from. Nothing you type is sent to a server or stored.

Accuracy & disclaimer

Our calculators produce planning estimates. Real projects vary with terrain, local building codes, wood grade, and supplier pricing. Always confirm post depth, height limits, setbacks and permit requirements with your local building department, and verify prices and coverage with your supplier before you buy. FenceTally is not liable for decisions made from these estimates.
